MISSION

“To use the arts and events for good”

The Soulstice Collective was founded in 2017 by brothers George and Jamie Oyebode. Initially, a one-night festival to raise money for 2 charities, over the course of 5 years it has grown into so much more.

Today, events, apparel and creative are the 3 pillars that allow Soulstice to span multiple moments in the creative landscape.

However, our story goes back way beyond 2017 - starting in 2012. This is when Charlie Hutton, a dear family friend to both brothers, tragically lost his life in a motorboat accident. George and a friend were on the boat and the RNLI saved their lives in the rescue effort. We will be forever grateful for their service.

Our personal experiences and the wider need to raise awareness around mental health is integral to why we support Young Minds. We are devoted to ensuring the next generation receive the best support possible.

 FESTIVAL

Our flagship event founded in 2017, Soulstice Festival started out as a one-night event with a simple aim - bring people together for a great cause, using great music.

Today, Soulstice Festival is one of the freshest independent music festivals in the UK, taking place in the heart of Hackney Wick for 2023, made by a truly special community of Soulstice festival-goers. By offering a lineup comprising of some of the UK's most exciting grassroots talent, we have curated some special weekends with music ranging from electronic DJs, to steel drum bands, right hack to Neo-Soul singers.

Since our first event, Soulstice Festival has raised almost £15,000 for the RNLI and Young Minds combined.

 Creative

Our online platform, giving young creatives a platform to share thinking and ideas on music, arts, culture and society.

Soulstice Creative was initially founded in reaction to the covid-19 pandemic, the #BLM protests and cancelling the 2020 festival as a way to both stay connected to our community. However, it quickly became a voice for communicating our creative process and social values to the world.

We have been fortunate enough to interview England rugby player Maro Itoje and arts & homelessness activist Matthew Peacock MBE. We have also published written pieces from young and ambitious creatives who have used our platform to communicate their opinions.
